About the role

HARVAC Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Cooks/Chefs to join our team at our restaurants, AKIBA, LOQUITA and WILMA located in the vibrant suburb of Braddon, ACT. As a Cooks/Chefs, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This is a full-time position, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and talented culinary team.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and cooking a diverse menu of high-quality dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  2. Ensuring all food preparation and cooking procedures adhere to health and safety standards
  3. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
  4. Collaborating with the kitchen team to create innovative menu items and specials
  5. Assisting with inventory management and stock control
  6. Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive dining experience

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a similar fast-paced environment
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and quality control
  3. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
  4. Excellent time management and organisational skills
  5. Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
  6. Adaptability to accommodate changing menu requirements and customer preferences
