About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative at Altro, you'll be a key part of a small, high-performing team ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, labelled, and dispatched on time. You'll also have the opportunity to operate advanced equipment, including automated cutters and a hydraulic press.

This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who values consistency, takes pride in their work, and is ready to hit the ground running. Experience working within a small to medium organisation will be ideal for the range of responsibilities within this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer orders safely and accurately
  • Operate forklifts, automated cutting equipment, and hydraulic press
  • Ensure goods are correctly labelled and stored
  • Complete dispatch paperwork including Dangerous Goods Notes
  • Check incoming deliveries and highlight any discrepancies
  • Follow SOPs and safety procedures (Zero Harm policy)
  • Work closely with Customer Care, Procurement, and Finance teams
  • Contribute to Value Added Services and inventory control
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment

What We're Looking For

  • Current forklift licence (essential) - Bendi forklift experience highly regarded
  • Intermediate user JDE Warehouse Management System
  • Previous warehousing (Store person) or logistics experience (especially with heavy goods)
  • High attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting
  • Safety-conscious and adaptable to change
