Planning and Scheduling Coordinator

About the role:
We're seeking a Planning and Scheduling Coordinator to be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and administrative tasks related to the scheduling of Aviation Australia's programs and must be committed to high quality output and be flexible and responsible to client needs.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Planning and Scheduling Manager, Manager of Assessments, and campus Technical Training Managers. You will play a vital role in positioning Aviation Australia as the aviation and aerospace centre of excellence for learning and development in both the Australian and international markets.
If you have experience in planning and scheduling with strong organisational skills, we'd love to hear from you. Ideally, you'll be confident managing complex timetables and operational resources, preferably within a training environment. Proficiency in data analysis – including Power BI or other visualisation tools – will also be valued to support effective decision-making.
Is this role for you?
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Diploma or higher-level qualification in Business Administration, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years' experience working in a planning and scheduling department, preferably in the vocational training sector or in a training/learning and development environment.
- Experience working in the aviation or aerospace industry and/or an understanding of commercial aviation will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including advanced expertise in Excel for resource logistics planning and scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics, including the use of Power BI and other data visualisation tools.
- Proficiency in creating basic reports using Power BI is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling systems, particularly CELCAT.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues through negotiation and consultation with others.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise work, deal with competing demands, manage time effectively and ensure completion of tasks within deadlines.
- Preparedness to undertake training as required.
