Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with our Safety & Compliance team to coordinate and schedule driver assessments and training.
  • Provide support to the Safety & Compliance Manager in promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and responsibility across the organization.
  • Assess the knowledge, competence, and skills of both new and existing drivers.
  • Provide detailed, constructive feedback reports to drivers that are assessed.
  • Assist the Safety & Compliance Manager to maintain our accreditations through successful completion of audits (NHVR, HACCP, AMCAS, etc.).
  • Facilitate and conduct training with new and existing drivers, including driver upskilling.
  • Conduct driver assessments - both on the road and at customer sites.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Hawk Logistics' contractual obligations and reinforce them through training, and applying interventions as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • A current Multi Combination (MC) class driver's license or higher.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Required).
  • Experience working in a Transport & Logistics business.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word) essential.
  • Quick learner with ability to pick up safety and fleet systems.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to prioritize critical tasks.
  • First Aid, and/or Fire Warden training desired.
  • Current forklift license desired.
