About the Role:

Neami National is seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to provide culturally safe, person-centred support for adults experiencing mental health and social and emotional wellbeing challenges. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions, develop care plans, and strengthen community connections.

This role involves:

  • Delivering culturally adapted support to promote strong SEWB and prevent escalation of mental health issues.
  • Providing assessment, referral, and follow-up care within and outside the centre.
  • Contributing to clinical pathways, care plans, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting a positive team culture and mentoring colleagues with cultural knowledge.

What You Will Bring:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage (identified position)
  • Certificate IV or higher in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
  • Current registration with AHPRA / ATSIHPBA
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal health and social/emotional wellbeing
  • Experience supporting individuals in distress and working within Aboriginal communities
  • Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster including evenings and weekends
  • Valid NT driver's licence, Ochre Card, and National Criminal History Check
