Location: Hybrid working, Brisbane Square, 266 George St, Brisbane      

Development Services are seeking two Business Intelligence Analysts to drive strong decision making as leaders are provided access to consistent and reliable data.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Council to deliver insights that drive performance, improve service delivery, and support strategic initiatives. This helps leaders understand what is happening, why it's happening, and what might happen next.

You will be part of a collaborative team focused on enhancing Council's data capability, supporting the Corporate Services strategy, and contributing to a culture of evidence-based decision-making.

What will you be doing? 

• Designing and developing dashboards, reports, and data models to support business needs
• extracting, transforming, and analysing data from multiple sources
• collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored insights
• supporting data governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
• communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic planning. 

What will you need to bring to the role? 

• Proven experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
• proficiency in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, and data warehousing platforms
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• understanding of public sector operations and data governance principles
• ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
