Your Opportunity
As The Senior TAFE At Schools Coordinator, You Will

  • Play a vital role in marketing TAFE Queensland Brisbane in the school sector to contribute to increasing student recruitment.
  • As a key contact point for high schools, the Senior TAFE at Schools Coordinator is responsible for a range of activities including school visits and campus tours and takes part in student recruitment expos and other events.

This position reports to the Manager, Commercial Sales.

This is a Permanent, Full-time opportunity, unless otherwise determined.

The position will be based primarily at Southbank Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
  • Establish and maintain industry and school partnerships to advance the standing and reputation of the organisation.
  • Build and maintain effective and professional business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive marketing events and activities that positively promote TAFE Queensland Brisbane in the school sector, resulting in increased student recruitment for TAFE at School courses and post year 12.
  • Analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of activities to inform future decision making and strategy development.
  • Manage the development and delivery of professional presentations in a range of settings to a variety of audiences including secondary school students, their parents, guidance officers and other school representatives.
  • Deliver high quality client focused service to high school representatives and prospective students through the provision of appropriate, timely, and solution-oriented advice about TAFE Queensland
  • Participate in student recruitment focused promotional activities and events, often outside working hours. Events include high school events and expos, Careers and Employment Expo, Tertiary Studies Expo, Reinvent Your Career Expo, and others as required.
  • Contribute to the Business Innovation and Commercialisation portfolio by participating in business planning and providing back up support when needed.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of TAFE Queensland marketing and promotional activities, including VET in Schools workshops, the Schools Program Guide and attendance at Expos.
  • Participate as an active member of the Commercial Sales team in planning processes, preparing regular reports, maintaining information on outcomes achieved, and ensuring compliance with quality benchmarks and systems.

How You Will Be Assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrating understanding of the educational and training market, including the ability to plan, develop and implement student recruitment focused strategies.
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, analytical and problem solving skills, preferably within a commercial environment.
  • High level interpersonal skills, including the ability to proactively build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.
  • Demonstrated strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and work autonomously to achieve specified objectives within agreed timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise confidently, deliver engaging presentations and connect with a wide variety of audiences.

  • A Certificate IV in Business or equivalent would be highly desirable.
