PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThe Training and Assessor is the guardian of our driver standards and capabilities. You will cond, deliver, and assess comprehensive training programmes that ensure our drivers meet the highest safety, compliance, and operational standards required for mission-critical healthcare logistics.
Working closely with drivers, managers and operations team you will drive continuous improvement in driver competency, ensuring every team member has the skills needed to deliver life-saving logistics with precision and care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Design and deliver comprehensive driver training programmes covering safety, compliance, and operational excellence
- Conduct competency assessments on the road and warehouse
- Maintain detailed training records for all drivers
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, dangerous goods requirements, and healthcare logistics standards
- Develop training materials and resources tailored to time-critical healthcare logistics operations
- Mentor new drivers through onboarding and probationary periods
- Monitor driver performance and identify development opportunities through regular assessments
- Partner with management to address training needs and performance gaps
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices
- Lead incident analysis and implement corrective training where required
- Support recruitment processes by assessing candidate competencies
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in training and assessment
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills with ability to work with diverse teams
- Experience with Learning Management Systems and training documentation
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate operational training needs
