Key Responsibilities:

The following key responsibilities are provided as a general guide in relation to the requirements and objectives of this position, including but not limited to:

  • Manage compliance for the Department of Home Affairs, Australian Border Force or Corrective Services (hereinafter referred to as Primary Contracts) and any future client agreements
  • Work to safeguard the company by ensuring we are compliant with both Australian and Nauru legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards affecting our business.
  • Work with centre managers/facility managers /operations managers / supervisors to monitor compliance to Contract KPM achievement as outlined in the Contract Schedules
  • Ensure all audits, compliance activities and requests are handled in a timely manner in accordance with the Contract and all Company policies, procedures and standards
  • Monitor the completion of centre contractual performance reporting requirements for compliance to contractual standard and driving continuous improvement
  • Successfully manage stakeholder relationships including with Primary Contract Departmental Representatives
  • Make long-range plans and schedules, sets goals, and establish objectives to drive a continuous improvement model.
  • Assist the Director Contract Compliance in effectively managing contract compliance, including the identification of matters of non - compliance

About You:

The following key experiences and skills are desirable in relation to this position and would including but not be limited to:

  • A minimum three years proven contract compliance, auditing, and international standard experience either within detention, immigration, corrections or regional processing or resettlement services. If not within these areas, then another complex industry such as hospital, university, or similar large scale operational environment is mandatory
  • Lead auditor in Quality Management Systems or equivalent
  • Minimum Cert IV Level formal qualification in contract management or equivalent
  • Ability to gain and retain all the police/security clearances required within our industry
  • Ability to pass any required health assessments
  • Ability to pass a working with children check
  • Ability to visit and work within an immigration or regional processing centre
  • Ability to travel both interstate and overseas as and when required to meet the needs of the business
  • Proven right to work in Australia
  • Proven vaccination against Covid-19 (double vaccination) by a vaccine recognised in Australia
  • Willingness to undergo alcohol and drug testing as required of the business from time to time
