At (i.e.,), everyone is welcome, regardless of your background, origin, love interests, faith, disability status, ethnicity, or the gender you identify with (please share your pronouns). We actively seek individuals who embody qualities of integrity and empathy. Our people are our most valuable asset, and the diverse skills and perspectives that individuals contribute to our team are key drivers of our success.

About the opportunity

The Producer is a pivotal role responsible for driving the commercial success and operational efficiency of Product Lab. This role acts as the essential bridge between technical innovation and commercial reality, ensuring the lab's outputs are translated into financially viable products and client engagements.

The role requires a data-first mindset, using evidence to guide decisions, questioning assumptions before acting, and applying structure to fast-moving and often ambiguous projects. It plays a critical part in turning experiments and new solutions into outcomes that are commercially viable, operationally sound, and aligned to client value.

Working closely with the Director of Product Lab, the Producer supports planning, delivery, and communication across multiple projects — managing scope, budget, and expectations while protecting the team's focus and momentum.

Daily activities

As a Producer, Product Lab, your core focus will be across commercialisation, operations, and strategic partnership:

  • Commercial Pipeline & Value Realisation: Identify, qualify, and shape new business opportunities, translating the technical capabilities of Product Lab into clear, quantified business value and compelling client proposals.
  • Budget & Scope Management: Lead collaboration to ensure all lab projects are accurately costed, budgeted, and scoped prior to contract, actively monitoring project burn rate and managing high-stakes client relationships from initial concept through to successful contract and delivery.
  • Operational Discipline: Establish and govern the operational processes for the entire product lifecycle, from commercial qualification through to technical prototyping, client delivery, and successful handoff to core business units.
  • Evidence-Led Delivery: Embed a data-first approach, ensuring every project is guided by clear hypotheses, measurable outcomes, and data-informed decisions that shape next steps.
  • Strategic Partnership & Advocacy: Serve as the strategic partner to the Director of Product Lab, effectively filtering and prioritising incoming requests to protect the technical team's time and focus.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the key interface, translating complex AI/ML concepts into clear, compelling, and financially viable business communications for non-technical internal stakeholders and senior executives.
  • Risk Management: Confidently guide senior internal and external stakeholders through the inherent risks and timelines of innovative AI projects, managing expectations and securing long-term business support.
About You

A little about who this person would be:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in sales, account management, commercial operations, or a senior product role within a technology-focused environment.
  • Process-Orientated: A demonstrated history of establishing and running operational and delivery processes for complex, iterative projects, with an exceptional bias toward establishing process and structure in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong Communicator: You are comfortable interacting candidly and transparently across a broad number of stakeholders from technical teams, to business teams to senior leadership.
  • Technically Minded: An interest in and ability to speak fluently about the AI/ML and software product lifecycle, including understanding the language, risks, and timelines associated with building AI solutions.
  • Growth Mindset & Ownership: You embody qualities of integrity, humility, sharp intellect, empathy, and a growth mindset, putting clients first at all times. You have a demonstrated ability to take ownership, define the commercial direction of a technical unit, and thrive in a role that requires balancing revenue targets with protective partnership.
  • Highly Collaborative: A strong grasp of emotional intelligence (EQ), capable of managing and influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally, and fostering a productive, respectful partnership with technical leadership.
