Role Overview

The
Event Producer

for Martech World Forum events will be responsible for the strategic development and management of all event content as well as curating the attendee experience for each event. This role will work closely with the Global Head of Operations and the Global Marketing Manager.

This full-time role is critical in ensuring that our events feature compelling and high-quality speakers including leading experts in the Martech space and that this content is aligned with our ICP of senior brand-side Martech leaders in consumer enterprises. A key factor for the role is also expanding the impact of event content beyond just the event itself. The role will report into the Global Head of Operations, with a dotted line into the Global Head of Research to ensure editorial alignment.

The KPIs for this role are as follows:

  1. Attendee content score:

Survey-based response from attendees to the question "On a scale of 1 to 10, how did you rate the content at Martech World Forum?"
2. Attendee experience score:

Survey-based response from attendees to the question "On a scale of 1 to 10, how did you rate the overall experience at Martech World Forum?"
3. Speaker satisfaction score:

Survey-based response from speakers to the question "On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the experience of speaking at Martech World Forum?"
4. Attendee retention rate:

The % of attendees for a specific event that return for the same event the following year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overarching event content strategy:

This role will collaborate with the team to develop the overarching content thesis for MWF events and strategy for driving more impact from event content.
- Speaker Acquisition:

Identify and recruit appropriate speakers for each Martech World Forum event, ensuring a diverse range of expertise and perspectives aligned with event themes and geographical locations.
- Content Development:

Facilitate content workshops with each confirmed speaker and sponsor to collaboratively develop session titles and abstracts, ensuring alignment with event themes and audience interests.
- Content Review and Feedback:

Host content review sessions with speakers to provide constructive feedback and guidance, ensuring presentations are polished, impactful, and ready for delivery ahead of the event.
- Final Output Management:

Oversee the production of key event materials, including the master presentation deck, the Run of Show document, and the MC script, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Speaker Communications:

Maintain consistent communication with speakers throughout the event lifecycle, providing updates, managing queries, and ensuring a smooth experience.
- Agenda and Website Updates:

Regularly update the event agenda (Accelevents) and website (WordPress) as new speakers and sessions are confirmed.
- Event production and AV:

Manage the in-event experience including audio visual support, stage production, time keeping, and other event experience management tasks.
- Support marketing content production:

Produce interviews, webinars, articles, and other marketing collateral based on speaker content, which will support the Global Marketing Manager to drive event marketing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Event producing or planning experience:

Minimum 5-7 years experience producing event content and events.
- Editorial Discernment:

Ability to understand what content will be of value to enterprise Martech leaders in consumer brands and to ensure variety of content.
- Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with high-profile speakers, sponsors, and internal teams.
- Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple content streams and deadlines effectively.
- Collaboration:

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly with event operations and marketing.
- Attention to Detail:

Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of all content outputs.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Martech Subject Matter Expertise:

Demonstrated broad subject matter expertise in Martech.

Working Arrangement

This is a full-time role that will need to be able to travel for each Martech World Forum event (Melbourne, San Francisco, Singapore, London, New York) plus bespoke events where required. 

The Martech Weekly is based in Melbourne Australia, so we will prefer locally-based candidates. The successful candidate will need to hold online meetings with speakers located in the East and West coasts of the USA, the UK, Western Europe, and Australia.

We have a flexible work policy, with the majority of non-event days spent working from home.
