ACER is seeking an enthusiastic People and Culture Business Partner to deliver both strategic initiatives and hands-on operational support that enhance our people, culture, and capability across the organisation.

About the Role

As a valued member of the People and Culture team, you'll be instrumental in supporting leaders and teams with practical, day-to-day HR solutions, while also contributing to strategic initiatives that reflect ACER's mission and values. This role blends operational HR responsibilities with opportunities to influence long-term organisational development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Champion a culture of learning, growth, and innovation.

  • Provide expert advice and support across recruitment, employee relations, performance, and development.

  • Lead and contribute to strategic people initiatives, including workforce planning, cultural change, and capability building.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver programs that support equity, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Use data and insights to inform decision-making and continuously improve our people practices.

What You'll Bring

  • A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience (7 years +) in a generalist HR role, with expertise across the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for making a positive impact.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and experience applying it in a practical, people-focused way.
  • Experience in project management and policy development is highly regarded.

Our offer

This is a full-time ongoing role based at our Camberwell office, conveniently located close to public transport.

We adopt a hybrid working model, with staff spending three days a week in the office and the remaining days working remotely. The starting salary for this position is $132,457 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
