About the role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Cook to join our purpose-built facility supporting women experiencing homelessness. This newly developed service offers a safe, supportive environment where women can rebuild their independence.

In this role, you'll do far more than prepare healthy, nutritious meals. You'll help create a sense of stability, dignity, and care during a pivotal time in these women's lives. By sharing basic cooking skills, encouraging healthy eating habits, and building confidence in the kitchen, you'll empower women on their journey toward independence and wellbeing.

Roster 1

  • Week 1 – Saturday, Sunday 2PM-8PM
  • Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 2PM-8PM

About you

You have a compassionate and practical approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting women through change. You thrive in a team that values respect, empathy, and community, and you're motivated to make a tangible difference through your culinary and people skills.

You also bring:

  • Trade Certificate, equivalent qualification or experience in a commercial cooking environment and/or aged care setting.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing and stock control of food.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing, and stock control of food.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and compliance requirements
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
