**About the role**

We have a newly purpose-built facility dedicated to supporting women experiencing homelessness, including those transitioning from St Bart’s Women’s Shelter. Catherine House offers a safe and supportive environment for women to regain their identities and independence.

As our Case Worker you will provide personalised and specialised assistance to the women who access this service. You’ll advocate for women and support them to connect with a variety of services and resources to support their individual needs and challenges. From housing, mental health to financial and community supports.

You will work with women offering practical guidance, emotional support, and encouragement to fulfill their goals. With empathy, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose, you’ll play a key role in empowering women to overcome challenges and move toward a more secure and independent future.

**About you**

You’re a compassionate and dedicated professional who brings both heart and skill to your work. With a strong sense of purpose, you’re committed to supporting women experiencing complex challenges. You’re confident in your ability to provide trauma-informed, strengths-based support and can adapt your approach to meet individual needs. You value collaboration, bring sound judgement to complex situations, and understand the importance of cultural sensitivity and respect in every interaction. Your natural empathy is balanced by professionalism, resilience, and a drive to empower others.

You also bring:

- Minimum Certificate IV in a relevant field (highly desired)
- Experience in case work practice within the community sector
- Experience working with diverse vulnerable communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Driver’s license
- Working with Children Check (WWC)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
