You will be joining a team that has a strong and varied toolkit to Excel in their space and partner effectively with the business.
The AUSIEX Finance team with other departments, provide financial information, tools, analysis, and insight to management executives, challenging their thinking, helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy.
What will you be doing
Utilizing your natural strengths of exceptional attention to detail & ability to navigate through a fast-paced environment, this role is based in Brisbane or Sydney and will have accountability for:
- Preparation & processing of month-end journals
- Balance sheet and GL reconciliations to maintain current, accurate substantiated records
- P&L variance analysis
- Reconciliation between ERP & back office / trading system
- Accurate recording and maintenance of Asset and Lease Registers
- Preparation and submission of monthly BAS return
- Preparation of monthly divisional reporting
- Assisting with the preparation of management, regulatory and statutory reports
- Assisting with the preparation for quarterly and year end financial audits
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of FBT requirements
- Ad-hoc financial analysis, trend analysis, and broader insights to drive tangible value
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports and financial information with a high degree of accuracy
- Process improvement, standardization and simplification
- Ability to gain respect throughout the organisation

To be considered for this rewarding role where you have the opportunity to contribute to AUSIEX's goals as market leader, you will have:
- CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years post qualification experience Commercial finance experience, ideally within a large corporate in Financial Services and/or Technology
- Proven understanding of financial systems; exposure to report development
- Proven exposure to debtor and creditor related functions
- Excellent excel & data management skills – you're quick with your formulas & know when something doesn't look quite right
- Knowledge of taxation law
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written skills that allows you to build trust & respond to high volume queries efficiently, accurately & in a helpful manner
- Ability to apply effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders
- You're not afraid to stop & consider the 'why' or 'how' when dealing with complex issues that arise from time to time
- Take initiative in following-up and resolving issues with in a professional & timely manner
- Ability to identify possible problems and escalate to Senior Manager, Finance with recommendations of resolution
- Implement improvements to businesses processes, ensuring manual processes are reduced, system and process efficiencies are improved, and costs are reduced
- Coaching and Team Management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, liaising with a range of stakeholders across the finance team and wider business on complex accounting matters
