We are now looking for a driven and passionate established PR Account Director or Senior Account Director based in our Melbourne office with experience across corporate reputation management, behaviour change, corporate communications, consumer communications and/or government communication accounts.

This role will see you working with a fun team of PR professionals while building essential AI skills to fast track future advancement. You will also work closely with the leadership team comprising creative, digital and content experts.

The Senior / Account Director will lead the development of PR strategies and pitches and oversee the delivery of PR programs and campaigns.

You will have skills across reputation and can help senior leaders prepare for the spotlight – through media and presentation training, issues preparedness, and strategic communication advice. Our dedicated AI innovation lab will support you with vital training in ICON's AI toolkit and solution set.

Must haves:

• Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in a public relations consultancy or a relevant in-house role
• Experience in reputation, crisis communications, issues management, and media training
• Proven leadership experience
• Proven media relationships
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Relevant tertiary degree
• Experience with proposals, tenders and new business pitches.

Key responsibilities:

• Management of key client accounts
• Pitching and preparing new business proposals
• Strategic media and client advisory
• PR ideation and strategy development
• Monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Team management.
