- Career growth opportunity
- Family-friendly and flexible work arrangements
- Corporate PR / reputation management experience essential
Today's PR leaders are more than great communicators. They are creative hybrids, as adept in social and content strategy as they are planning PR activations and directing media relations.
Welcome to the world of ICON.
Here, our PR team is part of something bigger; a fully integrated creative communications and digital agency that's working at the forefront of new PR practice. From our pioneering use of AI to reshape PR services, to our earned-first creative model, we thrive on challenge.
Due to recent growth we're looking for either a driven and passionate Senior Account Manager or Account Director based in our Melbourne office with experience across corporate reputation management, behaviour change, corporate communications and/or government communication accounts to join our team.
This is a fast-track career role, working with a fun team of PR professionals while learning essential AI skills to fast track future advancement. You will also work closely with the leadership team comprising creative, digital and content experts.
You are client focussed and able to effectively manage a campaign from start to finish, collaborating across teams to build a strategy, ideate PR programs, and supervise roll-out across PR, social, influencers, content and activations.
You will have skills across reputation and can help senior leaders prepare for the spotlight – through media and presentation training, issues preparedness, and strategic communication advice. Our dedicated AI innovation lab will give you vital training in ICON's AI toolkit and solution set.
Your background may be in corporate PR, but your skills are easily transferable to government and B2B clients where your experience in brand, reputation, events and multi-channel communications will shine. Experience in global technology brands will be an advantage.
About you:
- Curious, persistent and focused
- A team player who likes to have fun
- A knowledgeable and trusted adviser to clients
- Confident client champion, passionate about creating exemplary work and delivering flawlessly.
Must haves:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in a public relations consultancy or a relevant in-house role
- Experience in reputation, crisis communications, issues management, and media training
- Proven media relationships
- Excellent written and presentation skills
- Relevant tertiary degree
- Experience with proposals, tenders and new business pitches.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of key client accounts
- Strategic media and client advisory
- PR ideation and strategy development
- Monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
