North Queensland X-Ray Services is an independent Medical Imaging practice located in Townsville with a strong focus on patient care looking for a positive and enthusiastic Call Centre Operator/Medical Receptionist to join our team in a permanent full-time position.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic administration professional to provide high-level reception duties and administrative services whilst ensuring the delivery of professional, caring, and friendly services to patients and referrers.

Duties include:

Answering telephone calls and enquiries for multiple off-site locations

Scheduling of appointments

Handle all face-to-face and over the phone patient registrations, bookings, triage and queries as the first point of contact within the clinic providing information on procedures and any required preparation.

Operate our booking system and ensure the smooth-running of the front office.

Working closely with technical staff and our radiologists to achieve smooth patient flow.

Liaising with medical clinicians and facilities

Assist with any general office administration activities as required, such as data entry, administrative duties and reporting as delegated by your manager.

Essential skills and experience:

Previous call centre or reception experience highly regarded.

Ensures positive and effective communication with patients, clinicians, and management.

Strong customer focus and demonstrate compassion towards patients.

Positive attitude

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

Good IT skills.

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Excellent time management skills

Neat, tidy, and professional presentation

Driver's license essential

Ability to work a rotating roster (Shifts vary between 7:30am- 6pm)

Desirable skills:

Radiology/Medical reception experience.

Experience with Comrad RIS

On-site training and support will be provided as required.
