About the Role

This is a casual work from home position, offering 25–30 hours per week across 4 to 5 days. You'll be supporting our Client Account Managers while managing a portfolio of bookkeeping responsibilities. The role is flexible and suited to someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys variety, and values building strong client relationships.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Financial Data Management – Accurately record transactions and maintain up-to-date ledgers.
  • Bank & Account Reconciliation – Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts to keep records balanced and error-free.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable – Process supplier invoices, issue client invoices, monitor payments, and follow up overdue accounts.
  • Payroll Processing – Run payroll for clients, including wages, superannuation, and entitlements, ensuring compliance with Australian laws.
  • GST & BAS Preparation – Prepare and lodge BAS on time, with accurate GST reporting.
  • Financial Reporting – Produce clear profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, helping clients understand their financial position.
  • Software & Systems – Use Xero and other cloud-based systems efficiently, and assist clients in optimising their processes.
  • Audit Preparation – Maintain accurate documentation and assist with audits when required.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Support clients with setting budgets, tracking financial goals, and forecasting performance.
  • Process Improvement – Spot inefficiencies and recommend ways to streamline bookkeeping practices.

About You

We're looking for someone who ticks most (or all) of the following:

  • Minimum 5+ years bookkeeping and payroll experience
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting (or higher)
  • Strong attention to detail and great time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Karbon is also an advantage but not essential.
