Brief Description
The role
As our new Mailroom Operator, you will report to the Distribution Manager and be responsible for sorting, coding & allocating incoming correspondence for various departments across the business.
You Will
- Review all incoming faxes, letters and emails that relate to individual policies.
- Verify, code and allocate mail to the correct department.
- Send out mail within a timely manner to meet contractual agreements.
- Organise and manage printing and mailing documentation & track mailing dispatches.
- Problem solve any errors on printers and mailing machines.
- Identify and report potential risks or inadequate controls related to compliance or operational risks.

Requirements
- Review all incoming faxes, letters and emails that relate to individual policies.
- Verify, code and allocate mail to the correct department.
- Handle Australia Post return mail and ensure the relevant departments are notified.
- Assist with the external parcel postage of customer Marketing materials.
- Monitor system performance of technology that exists to assist with the handling of incoming correspondence and work alongside technology to trouble shoot any issues.
- Identify optimisation and efficiency improvements to improve the timeliness and qualitative outcomes of workload allocations out to various departments.
- Identify and report potential risks or inadequate controls related to compliance or operational risks.
- Champion a culture of risk and compliance across the division.
- Maintain awareness, understanding and compliance with Company policies and procedures, including the on-time completion of mandatory training.
