About APD Global
At APD, we deliver engineering and design solutions to power utilities, electricity generation developers, and the mining and resources sectors across Australia and New Zealand. Our team of over 400 professionals operates from 15 offices throughout the APAC region.
Our services encompass extra high voltage transmission grids, power distribution networks, and consumer-end electric supply facilities. We also offer customised, integrated solutions for protection system design, automation, control and communication, all tailored to our clients' needs.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Systems Administrator to lead the support, management and administration of our Corporate IT and Engineering Infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring our teams remain fully operational.
As part of the IT team, you will manage our hardware, software and networks, maintain system reliability and implement best practice security measures.
Key Responsibilities
A typical day as our Systems Administrator could include:
- Administering and maintaining the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Intune
- Providing Level 2/3 IT support, resolving issues related to system access, application errors and hardware troubleshooting
- Implementing, monitoring and improving IT security policies such as conditional access, device compliance and data loss prevention
- Supporting and managing a range of SaaS applications including user provisioning, licensing and troubleshooting
- Administering Microsoft Server environments including managing and supporting Hyper V clusters
- Documenting system configurations, processes and support procedures to ensure clear, repeatable practices
What You'll Bring
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Proven experience in system administration with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint, Exchange, Teams and Intune
- Demonstrated ability to manage and support SaaS applications across user provisioning, licensing and troubleshooting
- Strong IT support skills including experience delivering Level 2 and 3 support across desktop, mobile and cloud based environments
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Server administration and Hyper V clusters
- Proficiency in identity and access management tools such as Azure Active Directory and MFA
- Good understanding of firewalls, switching and routing
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge is highly regarded
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to capture and communicate processes and system configurations clearly
