Operations Manager (Manufacturing / Production)

Location: Ferntree Gully

Company: Architectural Handmade Bricks & Pavers

We're a fast-growing manufacturer of premium handmade architectural bricks and pavers, supplying Australia's leading architects and builders. We're looking for a practical, hands-on Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of production — from workflow and staffing through to logistics, quality control, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Manage factory staff, training, and performance standards.
  • Maintain product quality and consistency across multiple lines.
  • Coordinate supply, inventory, and dispatch logistics.
  • Work closely with directors on scaling production and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement and maintain OH&S and compliance systems.

About You

  • Background in manufacturing or construction (ideally with mechanical or materials experience).
  • Confident managing both people and process.
  • Skilled at planning, communication, and problem solving.
  • Not afraid to be on the factory floor when needed — this isn't a desk job.
  • Capable of introducing structure, systems, and accountability as the business grows.
