Distribution Lineworker and Glove and Barrier Lineworker

Service Stream's Power division is currently seeking a Distribution Lineworker and Glove and Barrier Lineworker to join our growing company. You will be responsible for construction and maintenance of electricity distribution networks through the safe & effective operation of associated plant and equipment.

You will be responsible for construction and maintenance of electricity distribution networks through the safe & effective operation of associated plant and equipment.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Ferntree Gully depot

Reporting Line: Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

As a Lineworker or Glove and Barrier Lineworker you will be joining an excellent team that is responsible for constructing and maintaining  the distribution electricity network to maintain the integrity of the network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner to ensure an uninterrupted supply to customers across the AusNet / United Energy / Jemena / CitiPower / Powercor networks.

About You

To be considered for the Lineworker or  Glove and Barrier role, you must demonstrate previous experience working within this capacity, along with relevant training and HV licences. You will be a qualified Lineworker, holding a Certificate III in ESI Distribution (Powerline).

Day to day, you will be involved in the installation and maintenance of overhead powerlines carrying electricity to domestic, commercial and industrial users.

You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

• Strong understanding and appreciation of Health and Safety practices.
• Ability to meet individual project productivity & target costs. Query necessity of this line
• Hold a current licence to perform High Risk Work, Construction Induction card
• Share our commitment to the highest quality of workmanship.
• Desirable – Forklift licence, Chainsaw Ticket, Dogging ticket/s.
