About the role

Your role as a Site Safety Coordinator is to support the Project Team by coordinating and ensuring site implementation and compliance with WHS legislation and SHAPE EHSQ policies and procedures from the project entry phase through to project completion. As part of your role, you can look forward to duties such as:

  • Promote and communicate awareness of EHSQ initiatives within the project teams and to contractors
  • Prepare and complete project-related EHSQ requirements
  • Attend training to understand and educate project teams on legislation and system changes
  • Support with incidents and risk management processes
  • Maintain site safety documentation and ensure all correct site signage is displayed

This role is a very exciting role initially based in the Melbourne CBD working across two of SHAPE Melbourne's largest project to date. 

About you

  • A strong passion for safety and willingness to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety or equivalent
  • Solid computer skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements and construction industry standards.
  • Experience conducting site safety inspections, audits and incident investigations.
