Role Description

We are a dynamic Tier 3 commercial construction company with a strong pipeline of projects across Melbourne and Geelong. Our focus is on delivering high-quality outcomes across a variety of sectors, including education, childcare, retail, health, and mixed-use developments. The Role

We are seeking an experienced
Site Foreman
to join our team and take responsibility for day-to-day site management on commercial construction projects in the west of Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and manage all site activities and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain program schedules and project milestones.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and enforce safety management plans.
  • Coordinate materials, deliveries, and equipment on-site to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Foster strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Provide accurate reporting on site progress, delays, and resourcing needs.
  • Drive a positive and productive site culture.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Foreman on commercial projects (ideally $2M–$15M range).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of OH&S legislation, site safety management, and compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Trade qualification in carpentry, building, or equivalent preferred.
