About the role

As an Assistant Service Manager at Castle Hill Toyota, you will be an integral part of the service team, supporting the Service Manager in the day-to-day operations of the service department. This is a full-time role based in Castle Hill, NSW 2154.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assist the Service Manager in overseeing the efficient operation of the service department
  2. Coordinate and schedule service appointments, ensuring smooth workflow
  3. Liaise with customers to understand their service needs and provide exceptional customer service
  4. Monitor technician productivity and flag any issues or concerns to the Service Manager
  5. Support the training and development of the service team, sharing best practices
  6. Ensure all servicing is completed in line with manufacturer guidelines and quality standards
  7. Assist with inventory management, month end fuel and oil stocktake, ordering oil stock and workshop supplies etc
  8. Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the department

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in an assistant or supervisory role within an automotive service department
  2. Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both customers and the service team
  3. Excellent time management and organisational skills to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities
  4. Working knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic procedures, and manufacturer specifications
  5. Proficient in using service management software and computer systems
  6. A team player with the ability to lead and motivate others
  7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
