What you will be doing…

Working alongside the Business Services Manager, you'll play a key role in preparing for client work and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Your responsibilities will be varied and include:

  • Prepare Budgets for EOY, FBT, BAS, and Tax Planning, including preparation of annual budgets. Create individual tax checklists for End of year information requests and email them to clients.
  • Preparing documentation and application forms for new clients
  • Prepare the meeting agendas, compile relevant reports, and update the billing forecast
  • Respond to SMSF Team queries related to tax jobs for superannuation funds.
  • Submitting and tracking new applications to completion
  • Providing administrative support to advisers, including drafting correspondence from templates and scanning documents
  • Billing - Review, approve and email invoice to clients. Assist bookkeeper with stripe transactions. Request, clearing WIP and write off for closing jobs.
  • Attending to all New Tax Registrations, incl. managing current tax registrations.
  • Requesting, downloading, and saving ATO reports on our system for Due Dates for Lodgment for ITR and AS, Prepare and submit Payment Plan

To be successful…

You'll have at least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within tax accounting. You'll be confident building relationships with clients, internal/external stakeholders, and service providers. You'll also bring:

  • Advanced MS Office skills and a willingness to embrace AI tools
  • Knowledge of ASIC and corporate compliance management
  • Experience with Superfund processes (highly regarded)
