We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Assistant Accountant
to join our team with an immediate start. You'll be a key player in our finance team, assisting with a variety of tasks that keep our operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations and prepare journal entries for month-end close.
  • Assist with financial reporting and the preparation of tax returns like Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Support other general accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Qualifications:
    You hold or are in the final year of studying for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Some experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise:
    You have some experience with accounting software like Xero, MYOB, or SAP and are skilled in Microsoft Excel. You also have a solid understanding of Australian accounting principles and GST.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    You are proactive, have a high degree of accuracy, and take ownership of your work.
