Eagers Automotive's Brisbane Administration Team located in Newstead, has an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join the well-established, highly varied Accounts team. Our successful Assistant Accountant will be responsible for a range of general administration duties across multiple brands within our Newstead Hub. Reporting to the manager of the department you will work alongside our dynamic Administration team to maximize productivity and efficiency through innovative and structured processes.

Our newest member will possess excellent communication skills, have an eye for detail and the attitude and willingness to help your team when required.

About You:

  • Highly analytical & organized with very strong attention to detail
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills oral & written
  • Willingness to learn
  • The ability to work in a team as well as autonomously

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Dealership Accountants in the production of accurate and timely results for corporate accounting purposes in accordance with timelines and policies
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations as per company standards
  • Assist other internal departments with ad hoc administration and accounting queries
  • Assist in internal audit preparation/requirements
  • Other administration tasks
  • Work on projects where necessary
  • Clear and concise effective communication
