The GBAR Group are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to contribute to a dynamic and growing organisation.

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in accounting functions and must demonstrate proficiency with MYOB Acumatica. This role is based in our Milton & Geebung offices and offers a supportive working environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accountant and Finance Manager in the delivery of day-to-day accounting operations
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain the general ledger
  • Assist with monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using MYOB Acumatica
  • Support payroll processes and assist with BAS, GST, and compliance obligations
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with MYOB Acumatica is essential
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
