Assistant Accountant
to join our Finance team. Domaine Homes is one of the businesses within the Campbell Property Group, a well-established Australian-owned residential builder, renowned for our passionate people, innovative designs, and high-quality homes.
About The Role
At Domaine Homes, part of the Campbell Property Group, we're passionate about building quality homes and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Our Finance team plays a crucial role in making this possible, and we're now looking for an Assistant Accountant to provide essential accounting support, ensuring financial accuracy and enabling operational efficiency.
What will you be responsible for?
Your Day-to-day Could Look Like
- Completing daily bank reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of inter-company and general ledger balances.
- Processing journals, accruals, and adjustments with proper supporting documentation.
- Preparing daily cash flow reports and assisting with monthly commission statements.
- Supporting the Finance Manager with month-end processes, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Assisting with audit preparation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and controls.
- Collaborating with other teams (Sales, Client Services, Estimating, Construction) to resolve financial queries.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance team.
What are we looking for?
We Are Looking For Someone With
- 2–4 years' experience in an accounting role, with exposure to reconciliations, reporting, accounts payable and receivable.
- Relevant Accounting qualification – or currently studying towards – highly advantageous.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, compliance, and internal controls.
- A high attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work under pressure.
- Clear communicator with both written and verbal skills.
- Experience with Timberline (advantageous but not essential).
