Disability Support Worker – Casual | South West SydneyAbout the Role

Blue Bird Aged Care & Disability Services is seeking professional and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in South West Sydney.

You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS participants to help them live safely, independently, and with dignity within their homes and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including showering, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with meal preparation, household duties, and daily living tasks
  • Deliver community access and social support, encouraging participation and inclusion
  • Provide safe and reliable transport to appointments and activities
  • Follow individual support plans and documentation requirements
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold Blue Bird's Aged Care and Disability Services standards of care

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care (or equivalent)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (current and valid)
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • 1–2 years' paid experience in disability or aged care support
  • Minimum two professional references (must be contactable)

Desirable Attributes

  • Sound knowledge of NDIS practice standards and duty of care
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and respectful toward clients and families
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Employment Details

  • Employment Type: Casual
  • Classification: SCHADS Award
  • Pay: As per SCHADS Level 2.1 (including applicable weekend and public holiday penalties)
  • Location: South West Sydney and surrounding suburbs
