**About the opportunity**

This is an identified position for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. Solace Disability are seeking highly motivated and passionate Aboriginal Support Workers to support our participants in achieving their goals. We have multiple positions available across the Sydney region.

We are looking for varying experience including:

- Experience working within the Justice system
- Experience supporting participants with a psychosocial disability
- Experience supporting participants with restrictive practices and behaviours of concern

**Highly regarded**
- Certificate III in Disability/Community Services OR relevant experience working with people with a disability.

**Selection criteria**:

- 100 points identification
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
- National Police Check
- NDIS Screening Check or willing to obtain
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
- First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- **Please Note**:_Roles which involve directly providing programs and services to Aboriginal people for the purposes of promoting their welfare are considered to be ‘Aboriginal identified roles’ and are as such restricted to Aboriginal people only. This is permitted under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. _
