About Us:

ATS is a dynamic national timber / building products company with branches in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. We are a major supplier to both residential and commercial builders.

About the role:

Full time permanent position for someone experienced with designing wall frames with the following responsibilities:

  • Frame and Truss detailing for Commercial and Domestic builders
  • Technical design and documentation of jobs through the engineered software
  • Liaising with clients, drafters, builders and architects
  • Identifying cost reduction opportunities through design changes
  • Comply with ATS Building Products policies and procedures surrounding Chain of Custody and Forest Stewardship Council requirements.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in timber residential design
  • Able to comprehensively read Architectural and Engineering building plans
  • Proficient with CAD based design/layout software programs.
  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with both internal and external customers
  • Multinail  / Mitek System experience will be an advantage
