As we embark on our next growth chapter — with a 3-year strategy to expand into new markets, and cement our position as one of Melbourne's leading design-led consultancies — we're looking for an
Associate / Senior Structural Engineer
to help lead that journey.

The Role

As an Associate, you will step into a pivotal leadership role at ARGALL. You will:

  • Lead complex structural design across steel, concrete, timber, masonry, and more.
  • Act as a technical authority and mentor, guiding a growing team of engineers and Revit technicians.
  • Manage key client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and technical delivery.
  • Oversee project delivery, change management, and certification responsibilities.
  • Drive business development alongside the Director, nurturing client networks and securing new opportunities.
  • Contribute to the refinement of ARGALL's systems, workflows, and standards as we scale.
  • Represent ARGALL in the market, championing our design-led, collaborative identity.

What We're Looking For

  • Chartered engineer with PE and 8+ years' experience in structural design and delivery.
  • Proven track record across civic, institutional, cultural, or residential projects.
  • Strong client-facing skills — confident in leading conversations, solving problems, and building trust.
  • Experience in managing teams, mentoring engineers, and coordinating multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Deep appreciation for architecture and design, with the ability to bridge creative and technical thinking.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — someone who thrives in leadership, can grow revenue streams, and wants to be part of shaping a business.
