Brief Description
The role
As the ECM System Administrator, you'll be responsible for the ongoing administration, maintenance, and optimisation of our Enterprise Content Management platform. This role ensures the performance, integrity, and security of all ECM environments – from development through to production – and plays a key part in supporting our risk and compliance obligations in a regulated industry.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders including business analysts, developers, and project teams to ensure the ECM platform continues to meet the needs of the business and aligns with governance and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and monitor all ECM environments (Development, Test, Pre-live, Production)
- Manage version upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure availability and integrity of resources
- Maintain system documentation, disaster recovery plans and SOPs
- Design and maintain content lifecycle processes aligned with business and compliance needs
- Oversee user access controls, security patches, and vulnerability remediation
- Support internal teams with Tier 2–3 technical assistance and platform insights
- Collaborate across Technology and the business to deliver fit-for-purpose ECM solutions
- Contribute to risk and compliance activities, including APRA-aligned frameworks and reporting
What Experience You'll Bring
- Proven experience administering Hyland OnBase systems in a corporate environment
- Strong proficiency in SQL – database administration, querying, and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of multiple system environments (Dev, Test, Pre-Live, Prod)
- Solid understanding and practical application of SDLC methodologies within an ECM context
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing content lifecycles aligned to business rules and compliance
- Strong understanding of system security principles, with experience managing user access and remediating vulnerabilities
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration and IIS
- Scripting experience using PowerShell
- Experience integrating ECM platforms with other business systems

The ECM System Administrator is responsible for the comprehensive administration, maintenance, security and optimal performance of the organization's Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. This role ensures the stability, integrity and availability of all ECM environments (Development, Test, Pre-live, Production), manages the systems lifecycle, implements and maintains content lifecycles and addresses security requirements. Strong technical expertise in OnBase, MySQL and system administration best practices is essential.
