Take the next step in your career We are looking for a Systems Administrator with 1-3 years' experience, who are eager to grow within a collaborative firm.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake regular patching of systems and critical vulnerability remediation.
  • Apply whitelisting and strong security hardening across core infrastructure, servers, and end user devices.
  • Provision, install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
  • Ensure operational excellence through high availability and performance of services.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT services.
  • Support both on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365).
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Apply security patches and updates to maintain system integrity.
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
  • Maintain documentation, asset registers, and configuration records.
  • Work alongside our outsourced IT helpdesk and MDR partners to ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with external IT vendors as needed.
  • Contribute to the firm's ISO27001 journey by supporting the implementation and maintenance of security controls, documentation, and compliance processes.
  • Continuously improve infrastructure and deployment processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and recommend enhancements to systems and services.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Ability to work in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role (1–3 years).
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
  • Experience supporting both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
  • Exposure to security frameworks (ASD Essential Eight, ISO27001 desirable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support staff at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Availability to undertake after-hours/weekend work where required to support patching or upgrades.

Desirable

  • Experience in a professional services or accounting environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting and practice management platforms such as MYOB, Xero, FYI Docs, CaseWare or similar.
