Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and technically adept Territory Sales Manager to drive business growth across an assigned geographical territory. This role involves full-cycle sales responsibilities, including prospecting, qualifying, closing, and managing customer accounts. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of plastic machinery, particularly injection moulding, extrusion, and reactive polymer processing, and have the strategic acumen to work with C-level decision-makers in high-value B2B environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close, including qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and after-sales support.
  • Territory Management: Develop and execute a structured territory plan to identify and pursue new opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer accounts.
  • Account Management: Build long-term, value-driven relationships with clients by understanding their technical requirements and providing tailored solutions.
  • Strategic Selling: Strategically engage key stakeholders, identify buying influences, and drive complex capital equipment sales.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide technical insight and support, working closely with clients to specify, analyse, and define technical solutions involving plastic processing machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal technical, service, and marketing teams to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.
Key Requirements

Sales Competencies:

  • Proven experience in capital equipment sales within a B2B industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in territory management, account development, and strategic selling methodologies (Miller Heiman or similar).
  • Strong closing skills with a consistent record of achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive results with minimal supervision.

Technical Background:

  • Solid technical understanding of plastic machinery, including:

  • Injection moulding machines

  • Extrusion systems
  • Reactive polymer machinery
  • Auxiliary equipment (e.g., material handling, cooling, drying systems)
  • Knowledge and experience working with KraussMaffei machinery and systems strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, consult with clients on complex requirements, and liaise with engineering teams.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5–10 years of relevant sales experience in industrial, technical, or capital equipment sectors.
  • A minimum of 5 years of capital equipment sales experience is desirable.
  • Engineering or technical background (mechanical, mechatronics, or plastics engineering preferred).
  • An engineering degree is required for this position (mechanical, or plastics engineering preferred).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales reporting.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the territory.
