Position Overview

Inspire the next generation of culinary experts As a commercial cook and hospitality trainer, guide and mentor students through hands-on experiences, share industry insights, and foster a passion for excellence. Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions in commercial cookery and hospitality.
  • Mentor and guide students through practical exercises and industry-relevant projects
  • Create and update course materials to align with industry standards
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant information into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the education team to enhance the learning experience.
  • Inspire and motivate students to excel in their culinary and hospitality endeavors.

Requirements

  • Certificate in Training and assessment
  • Relevant qualifications in education or training (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment ishighly desirable.

    or
  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (Kitchen Management) or their successors, or a trade certificate as a cook or chef or Diploma of Hospitality Management
  • Proven experience working in commercial kitchens and the hospitality industry adds an added advantage.
  • Strong industry connections and up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring
  • commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
