About us:

United Steel Tasmania is a leading supplier in the construction materials industry, committed to innovation, efficiency and high-quality service. With the establishment of our Western Junction production facility, we are expanding our capabilities and seeking a skilled Project Delivery Manager to lead operational delivery and drive continuous improvement in our project workflows.

About the opportunity:

The Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring smooth coordination between sales, estimation, scheduling, production, and client engagement. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while also focusing on process improvements and workflow optimization.

The Project Delivery Manager will report directly to the United Steel State Manager and be part of the senior leadership team, ensuring alignment between operations and sales while maintaining a strategic focus on business growth.

Keys to your success:

  • 5+ years of experience in project delivery within construction, steel, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong understanding of estimation, scheduling, and production processes in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and Excel is required for estimation and scheduling activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings (essential).
  • Experience interpreting both steel fabrication and construction plans is required.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability, particularly for technical and logistical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
