Due to continued growth we are currently seeking a full-time experienced Management Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper to be responsible for overseeing financial aspects within our company, including the maintenance and management of financial records, accounts, payroll and the preparation of financial reports.
Ride Electric Group is a privately owned business that imports electric bikes and scooters and sells wholesale to a wide network of dealers throughout Australia. We currently have three retail stores which also offer full servicing and repairs.
Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that suitable applicants possess a proven background as a Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant and a minimum of ten years' experience in a multi-company commercial environment.
Accountabilities encompass the management of accounts and the development and interpretation of financial reports and financial forecasts.
This role will be reporting to the Director, Finance Manager and Tax Accountant.
Duties include, but are not limited to:-
· Manage the revenue and distribution strategy for the portfolio of brands, including margin and inventory management
· Perform competitive benchmark reviews and market trends
· Provide a weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons
· Complete monthly analysis of performance and provide a summary of recommendations to improve long term strategies
· Responsible for best practice standards to include competitor analysis, management of distribution, business mix, inventory by channel, pricing control and new pricing concepts
· Manage and oversee reconciliations of bank accounts
· Supporting the bookkeeping and customer service teams where required
· Ensure accurate and timely entry of data
· Prepare monthly financial reports for each entity and consolidated
· Prepare and lodge ATO reports
· Provide financial advice and reports to external stakeholders
· Report on margins between the companies
· Support customer service staff in all locations
· Cashflow and Budget forecasting and management
· Fortnightly payroll management including STP, BAS and Super
To be considered for this role you must be:-
· A Qualified Bookkeeper or Accountant with a minimum of 5 years commercial experience
· BAS Registered
· Highly analytical and organised with a strong attention to detail
· Budgeting and forecasting skills are essential
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· IT proficient – Microsoft 365
· Knowledge/experience in Odoo ERP an advantage (training provided)
· Experience with Employment Hero payroll software an advantage
· Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
· Excellent business communication skills – both oral and written
· Proficiency in all facets of financial accounting functions
· Hands on with a positive proactive outlook
