- Location: Eveleigh with access to flexible working arrangements available. The role requires partial attendance in the office (ATP Eveleigh).
- Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8 with base salary ranging from $113,574 to $125,720 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The NSW Department of Education is looking for a hands-on Student Administration Support Officer
to support numerous department initiatives spanning both operational and project deliverables.

About the role
The Student Administration Support Officer will support projects and operational teams in delivering services to schools, advancing portfolio initiatives, and achieving organisational goals.

Essential requirements of the role
- Demonstrated experience in managing and optimising student administration processes at a School Administration Manager (SAM) or School Administration Officer (SAO) level.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) or be willing to obtain.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
Key knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated experience in school-based student administration, and knowledge of processes in enterprise systems and vendor applications.
- Demonstrated experience in transforming student administration processes at the enterprise level through project delivery and subject matter expertise.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education and training policies. Understanding of cultural competency principles and the importance of inclusive practices in educational settings and vendor interactions.
About you
We are seeking a highly motivated Student Administration Support Officer, who will be responsible for:
- Applying school-based subject matter expertise in Student Administration processes (e.g., admissions, finance, enrolment, and records management) to enable quality service delivery.
- Utilising in-depth understanding of department and vendor applications to optimise time savings for school administrative staff.
- Providing advice and expertise to resolve both departmental and third-party systems issues impacting Student Administration processes.
- Creating reference guides, training manuals, and documentation to enhance the skills and knowledge of NSW school administration staff and enabling the adoption of best practices.
- Liaising with schools, business, and operations to support digital uplift within schools' Student Administration processes.
- Providing expertise and guidance in Student Administration processes to meet the requirements of training schools and corporate teams.
- Working in collaboration with team members to assess Student Administration processes to identify opportunities to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the School & Vendor Engagement team in line with the Department's commitment to continuous improvement.
