National HR Advisor - Australia | Leading International Law Firm
Opportunity for you as an experienced HR professional to develop your business partnering skills with one of the world's leading law firms.
The Employer
This law firm is a genuine global player - employing thousands of lawyers across 25 countries. It's also highly sought after as an employer.
Recognised as a preeminent name in law, the firm is also widely acknowledged in numerous countries as an Employer of Choice and a place where business services and support professionals are as well-rewarded and well-supported as its fee-earning legal staff.
Offering industry leading benefits, the Australian arm of the firm has a long history and its HR function sits with both an Asia-Pac and then large global team.
This opportunity will therefore allow you to be part of both an impressive and well-resourced global HR function, whilst still being empowered with your own local responsibilities.
The Opportunity
As HR Advisor you will work closely with the firm's National HR lead as the two of you manage the on-the-ground HR needs for the firm's successful Sydney office.
Your responsibilities will be generalist and could be as varied as working with talent to manage recruitment, working with the remuneration team and the practice floors appraisals & remuneration reviews, oversight on international secondments, managing remote HR admin support, HR strategy and L&D.
As part of both a close-knit national and wider APAC team, you'll also take on national and regional projects, alongside Business Partnering involvement for another national office. This is all with the support of a global HR Admin team, giving you the chance to step away from coordinating/admin work and to build your business partnering skills.
About you
You will:
be an experienced HR professional with strong generalist experience - gained in a professional services environment;
have had exposure to the whole employee life-cycle, whilst juggling a variety of national and regional HR projects;
You will also be an excellent communicator who is happy to work with people at all levels and show proven experience of connecting with senior stakeholders.
Ideally, your experience will have been gained within another professional services Partnership; law firm experience would be highly regarded.
You'll also be driven, proactive and committed to a full-time career in HR.
Why apply?
This is a rare chance for an Advisor level HR professional to join this leading international law firm whose name would be an excellent addition to any CV
This role offers genuine career growth potential, you'll join a firm that is looking to increase its Australian presence and you'll have a supportive and experienced HR Manager as your mentor; yet you'll also have the opportunity to develop your skills as you work autonomously on your own projects.
This position also offers a generous salary and industry leading benefits that include healthcare and a discretionary bonus.
