Zenviron is seeking a highly motivated Senior Safety Advisor to join our team at our Newcastle Head Office.

This is a predominantly office-based role with occasional travel to project sites across Australia.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Supporting and coaching project personnel to successfully execute major construction projects in a challenging landscape.

* Assist with the onboarding of major delivery subcontractors and ensure compliance with site safety rules and company requirements.

* Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure project safety, environment and technical specifications are adhered to.

* Supporting Principal Contractor safety obligations onsite whilst identifying any non-compliances through audits.

* Supporting the delivery of HSE advice and services to the projects across the business, building effective partnerships with both client and subcontractor HSE teams.

* Reporting through to the Governance & Risk Manager to ensure effective functionality and support to operations including behavioural safety and culture improvement campaigns.

What you will bring:

* Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety.

* 5+ years' experience in similar HSE site-based and/or corporate roles within the renewables, infrastructure or construction sector.

* Incident investigation & Return to Work Coordinator experience.

* Well established knowledge of HSE legislation and industry standards with an in-depth knowledge of Principal Contractor duties.

* Formal training in incident investigation methodology (ICAM).

* Proficient user of MS Office Suite to accurately assemble, maintain and document quality records and accurate reports.

* Well-developed written communication skills.

* Well versed in modern behavioural safety and culture-based programs.

* Drivers Licence and proof of right to work in Australia.

To be successful in this role you will require well-developed interpersonal skills to assist you in building effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, whilst you will demonstrate a team orientated approach to work and commitment to continuous improvement.
