We are seeking a **proactive and experienced Health and Safety Manager** to lead and champion our Health and Safety function and ensure the well-being of our team and contractors across our manufacturing site.

**The Role**

As the **Health and Safety Manager**, you’ll be responsible for:

- Developing, implementing and continuously improving workplace health and safety systems and policies.
- Leading safety training, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Fostering a culture of safety awareness, safety engagement and accountability at all levels.
- Ensuring compliance with Australian WHS legislation and industry best practices.
- Partnering with operational leaders to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Coaching and influencing leaders to enhance our safety systems, practices and decision-making.
- Managing our Workers’ Compensation function (self-insured) to achieve successful outcomes.
- Driving both operational and strategic elements of the safety role.
- Analysis and reporting of health and safety performance.
- Co-ordination of Monthly Safety themes, DoneSafe, Chemwatch, Respiratory and Hearing Test Requirements, Contractor management etc.

**About You**
- Proven, contemporary experience in a senior Health and Safety role, ideally within a heavy industry or manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian WHS laws and ISO safety standards.
- Strong, authoritative leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to analyse data and drive evidence-based safety improvements.
- Excellent communicator, with empathy and sound relationship skills.
- Diploma or Degree in Work Health and Safety (or related field).
- Capable and professional presenter.
- Tech savvy and systems driven person experienced in managing WHS software.
