The Opportunity – Help build places people love to live
We're seeking a Community Manager to lead operations at Stockland Halcyon Hope Island, an established boutique over-50s lifestyle community, comprising 88 home sites and resort-style community facilities with canal frontage, private marina and boathouse.
This part-time role (Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week) offers the chance to make a real impact by ensuring residents enjoy a seamless and enriching living experience.
What you'll do
At this well-established community, complete with top-tier amenities, you'll be the heartbeat of the homeowner experience. Your role will be hands-on, people-focused, and purpose-drivenBe the go-to for homeowner queries and concerns—responding promptly, professionally, and with empathy.
- Own front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including office admin and record keeping.
- Keep a sharp eye on financial performance and identify opportunities to enhance both experience and profitability.
- Work closely with the Facilities Caretaker team to ensure the community is well-maintained and maintenance requests are addressed in a timely manner.
- Champion a risk-aware culture by engaging in operational risk training and ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations.
- Support and lead community activities—from inductions and wellness programs to events and functions that bring people together.
About You

- Proven experience managing day-to-day operations, customer experience, and property within a community or hospitality setting.
- Industry background in Land Lease Communities, Retirement Living, Shopping Centre Management, Commercial/Retail Property, or Hotel/Resort environments will be highly regarded.
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budget management and performance monitoring.
- Broad understanding of community / asset maintenance requirements
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- High emotional intelligence and discretion, with the maturity to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
