Brisbane, Queensland, Australia UnitingCare Qld Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

UnitingCare Queensland Full-time | Fixed Term – 12 months | Brisbane-based with flexible arrangements.

At UnitingCare, we know that powerful communication can spark connection, drive change, and bring people together. Whether it's supporting an elderly resident in one of our aged care facilities, providing crisis support via our Lifeline crisis support helpline or protecting youth in the community, we're here to help people live life in all its fullness—and we need your voice to help tell that story.

We're embarking on an organisation-wide strategic transformation project, focused on enhancing how we deliver services to Queenslanders in need of support. As part of this future-focused initiative, we're seeking a Change & Communications Manager to drive the buy-in to new compliance initiatives across the organisation.

This is a dedicated fixed term opportunity for a change management champion, with strong skills across the development and execution of communication strategies. The role also involves managing digital channels, including building and maintaining SharePoint pages to support communication and resource sharing.

Your Impact:

·       Hands-on creation and delivery of change activities including materials and training.

·       Lead change initiatives from conception to implementation, actively engaging with employees at all levels.

·       Work closely with the other change resources across the organisation to ensure a consistent approach is used, incorporating enterprise change methodologies and templates.

·       Strategically collaborate with related projects and business change for the delivery of sustainable benefits with minimal disruption for the delivery of service for those we serve.

·       Develop, own, deliver and maintain the Change Plan in accordance with the above responsibilities. Make key decisions relating to the delivery of change and resulting outcomes with confidence and experience.

·       Accountability for the successful delivery of change across our organisation.

·       Monitor and report on how change is being implemented, the effectiveness of the implementation, identify areas of weakness or failure and implement appropriate remedial actions to ensure success.

·       Effectively coordinate the change impacts and their interdependencies.

·       Manage and resolve any risks and other issues that may arise.

·       Manage relationships and communications with stakeholders across the organisation and external organisations as required.

·       Conduct business readiness assessments to ensure that programme objectives and benefits are delivered on time and on budget.

·       Identifying and fostering change champions.

·       Address resistance to change by identifying its root causes and implementing effective solutions.

·       Design and deliver training programs to equip employees with the skills needed to embrace the change.

·       Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs change or grow (consistent with the above, within the scope of the position and any other legal or industrial obligations).

What You Bring:

·       Demonstrated change management skills on similar sized programs of work and complexities

·       Previous experience or sound understanding of working with the Heath, Human Services and Not-For-Profit industry.

·       Tertiary qualifications in Change Management, Organisational Development, Business or related disciplines.

·       Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) – Desirable

·       Proven experience as a hands-on Change Manager, driving successful change initiatives.

·       Significant experience and understanding of change management practices and methodologies (5+ years' experience in business and transformational change) and ability to work within existing enterprise practices and methodologies.

·       Robust experience in developing, designing and implementing change management strategy/solutions/activities.

·       Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

·       Skill and breadth to both think strategically and deliver change tactically.

·       Advanced written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to develop and present complex reports that can be understood by a range of audiences, and to facilitate organisational negotiations, meetings and workshops.

·       Strong SharePoint skills, including building and maintaining communication hubs

·       A collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt in dynamic, project-driven settings

·       A passion for purpose-driven work and connecting people to meaning
