About the Role

As the Director, Connected Communities within the Premier's Department, you will play a critical role in shaping government priorities related to national security and social cohesion. You will lead complex policy development, whole of government program delivery, guide intergovernmental collaboration, and advise the Premier's Department, The Cabinet Office, and senior executives on strategic issues of national significance.

This is a unique opportunity to drive reform in key areas affecting communities across the state, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, impactful policies.

We're Looking For

• Leads with Expertise: You have extensive experience in leading the delivery of programs, policy reforms and resolving complex social policy problems, especially in intergovernmental settings.
• Engages diverse stakeholders: You have high cultural competency and a proven track record of working collaboratively alongside diverse community stakeholders and government agencies to implement whole-of-government policies and programs.
• Thinks Systemically: You have experience in analysing system-wide impacts, using evidence and data from multiple sources, and co-designing solutions to complex problems, with community leaders, government agencies and other diverse stakeholders.
• Has a National Security Clearance: You currently hold NV1 National Security Clearance, or you have the ability and willingness to obtain it.
• Demonstrates Leadership and Integrity: You consistently act with integrity and have advanced people management skills, leading teams to foster innovation, diversity, and high performance.
• Are a Skilled and Relational Communicator: You have highly advanced communication skills, that build and nurture relationships and convey complex ideas effectively, to influence diverse decision makers.
