Senior Strategic Communications Specialist

As a Senior Strategic Communications Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- The development, coordination, delivery and support of Chisholm's CEO engagement strategy and corresponding strategic communications.
- Developing and implementing strategic communications and event plans, papers, and proposals that align with government and Institute priorities.
- Driving positive internal and external engagement and alignment to Chisholm's Strategy.
- Working with Chisholm's wider Communications team to foster a consistent and coordinated approach to communications across the Institute.
- Providing sound, executive-level counsel and actionable communications recommendations.
ABOUT YOU
You will be an experienced senior communications specialist with proven skills in coaching senior leaders and the ability to influence, work with, and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of people.
You will also have extensive experience developing strategies, messaging content for diverse audiences and channels, and strong experience distilling strategic business needs to develop, recommend, implement, and analyse communications strategies, plans and engagements.
You will have a deep understanding of the priorities of local, state and federal government and ensure that Chisholm is responsive to the needs of government stakeholders.
Crucial to your success will be your exceptional written and verbal communication and organisational skills plus your strong editing ability with attention to detail.
Your agile working style with your proven ability to manage competing deadlines, multiple projects, and problem-solve effectively will be key to your success in the role.
Qualifications required for the role
You will have a communications degree, or similar, and extensive demonstrable experience including leadership and management experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant management and leadership experience and/or education or training.
