Orange City Council is seeking an analytical, solutions, focused Management Accountant to join our finance team.

If you're passionate about spreadsheets, systems improvement, problem solving and providing technical accounting advice to our leaders – we want to hear from you.

Job/Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this position is primarily responsible for supporting the management of our budgets across Council. This includes:

  • Supporting Council's Senior Management Accountant in the timely production of Council's Annual and Quarterly Budgets and Council's Annual Fees & Charges.
  • Supporting, advising, training and liaising with Council staff, including Managers and Directors, in preparation of budget reviews and project reviews.
  • Completing comprehensive monthly management reporting processes, including detailed analysis and advice.

  • Bachelor of Accounting, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting packages
  • A demonstrated ability to analyse and report on financial data
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
